Introduction to the professional manufacturing process of grandstand seats

The performance characteristics of plastic grandstand seats depend on their manufacturing process. Professional manufacturers typically use hollow blow molding, with core processes including preform preparation, blow molding, and cooling/setting. Each step is monitored during production to ensure quality. Wholesalers are welcome to visit our company for inspection; we are confident you will approve of our product quality.

Preform Preparation: High-density polyethylene (HDPE) is melted and extruded into a tubular preform using an extruder. The molten plastic is then injected into a mold using an injection molding machine to form a test tube-shaped preform, which is then attached to a mandrel.

Blow Molding: The high-temperature preform is placed in a blow mold, and compressed air is introduced to expand it and press it tightly against the mold cavity. For stretch blow molding, the preform must first be heated above its heat distortion temperature before biaxial stretching to increase strength.

Cooling/Setting: The blow pressure is maintained until the plastic part cools and sets. The mold temperature is typically controlled between 60-90℃. After mold opening, a robotic arm removes the product, which is then trimmed to obtain the hollow seat.

The above outlines the three main manufacturing processes for grandstand seats. Before production, the selection of raw materials is crucial. After production, product performance characteristics must be tested, and only those that pass quality checks are released. Standard high-density polyethylene is used. If custom colors are required, color masterbatch and functional additives are added in proportion, and the material is dried in a dryer at 80-100℃ for 2-4 hours to remove moisture and prevent defects such as bubbles and dents after molding. Recycled waste materials are avoided, as they not only lack impact resistance but also tend to fade during use. Ensuring product quality from the source, coupled with proper maintenance and care, can extend the lifespan of the seats.

When conducting quality inspections on grandstand seats, strength and safety testing are paramount. Strength testing includes static and dynamic strength tests. A vertical load is applied for 30 minutes to measure deformation and stability, simulating collision impacts to verify the impact resistance of the seat frame and adjustment mechanism. Repeated loading simulates usage scenarios to test material wear and structural fatigue. In addition, attention must be paid to the safety performance of the grandstand seats. A horizontal load of ≥3KN/m for 5 minutes should be maintained without significant damage. The movable grandstands should automatically lock after unfolding to prevent accidental closure.

Grandstand seats is practically standard equipment in sports venues, suitable for spectators in basketball, football, volleyball, and other sports, providing a stable and comfortable viewing experience. Grandstand seats can also be found in school playgrounds and auditoriums, with ergonomic designs offering a good viewing experience. Furthermore, their disassembly mechanism maximizes space utilization, making them popular with many users.
